We desire for our youth to stand up and make good choices that will lead them into a successful future. But, how can we expect a change in our youth unless they experience change in their heart? We really want to portray the Truth of the message of Jesus Christ and why He actually calls us into a personal relationship! We want the youth to know God accepts them where they are at because He loves them and His gift to the world is freedom. Freedom from addictions, anxiety, loneliness, shame and discontentment.
Our desire is to bridge the gap between the church and the youth by hosting extreme sport related events so that this generation knows they can still have fun and live for Christ. We will partner with local churches who also have a heart for outreach and will help the youth to grow in an understanding of who Jesus is.
I grew up in Fountain Valley, California during the mid 80s. The punk/skate scene was really taking off out here and I was immediately drawn to the lifestyle. You could find me, the angry guy with the leather jacket roaming around the beach cities causing a ruckus. In 2002 I opened a skate shop in Santa Ana and Arkansas, my heart began to shift. I loved watching the kids come in and being able to encourage them to make wise choices and becoming better skaters. My heart really grew for the youth. While in Arkansas I had the opportunity to host a skate demo with KKSM and saw the youth come alive! I also organized a city-wide skate competition to raise funds to improve the local skate park. When I came back to California I began attending a church that really encouraged me in reaching out. It was there my vision was refined to combine my passion for skateboarding, the youth, and the love of God. I took it to God and He gave me Frontier Youth Ministries. I have chosen a team that cares deeply for the youth of America, but more importantly loves God with a passion.
